The firm

GBJ LLP is an experienced firm of Chartered Accountants located in Redhill.

We offer a wide range of accountancy and advisory services tailored to your individual needs, and specialise in providing advice to small, medium-sized and fledgling companies and businesses.

We aim to build long term working relationships with our clients and acquire detailed knowledge of their affairs to provide them with the best service possible.

The Partners

Nigel Green

Nigel trained with a firm of Chartered Accountants in Harrow and following a stint with Coopers and Lybrand in the Middle East, returned to England to found Green & Co in September 1989. He believes that our clients have remarkable skills within their own trade and professions and sees our role in their business as that of a close advisor to maximise their time and investment.

Nigel also has significant experience in assisting clients in grooming their businesses for succession and sale.

Shailen Patel

Shailen qualified in 1984 after serving a training contract with Berke Fine, a medium sized firm in Croydon. He joined KPMG’s London office with a view to expanding his audit and client management skills and was involved in large system based audits of multi-national companies.

After a very rewarding 4 years with KPMG Shailen joined Jaye & Co in Croydon. They became part of the GBJ family in August 2001.

Jon Hillier

Jon qualified as an ACCA with a firm of Chartered Accountants on the south coast. He joined GBJ in 2008 and has 15 years’ experience in practice.

He specialises in providing accountancy services and associated taxation advice to owner managed businesses. Jon is also responsible for several audits, including medium sized companies and charities.

Tax Manager

Trevor Rowlan

Trevor has fifteen years of tax and accountancy experience having previously trained and worked as a bank manager with Barclays. He is our main point of contact for personal tax and company secretarial matters.

Small Business Team

Sue Hall

Sue has many years of experience working on the other side of an Accounting Practice in various small businesses and as the main Account Administrator to a large private nursing home. At weekends and holidays she blows the dust off the ‘Accountant’ label and gets on her motorbike with friends looking for adventure and mountains; whichever comes first.
